St George's Children's Choir
The St George's Children’s Choir is open to all children and young people from Year 1 upwards. The choir’s aim to create a friendly, joyful, and supportive environment that encourages children to sing, learn to read music, and be part of a regular group that takes pleasure in singing together. The choir is co-led by our Director of Children’s Choir, Mandy Roberts, and our Director of Music, Sue Howell Evans, both of whom have extensive experience in leading choirs with young people.
The choir is free to join. Part of the expectation of being a member of the choir is that the children will sing, during term-time, at the Parish Sunday Eucharist on the first Sunday of each month and at the All-Age Worship at St George’s which takes place once per month during term time. There will also be other services, concerts, and events at which the choir will be invited to sing.
Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays at 5:15pm in St George’s Church during term. Parents and carers are asked to collect their children from church at 6pm.

We also offer invite those children who are interested to join the RSCM ‘Voice for Life’ scheme. Children meet at 4:45pm on Tuesdays before choir rehearsal to study music theory and how what we sing in the choir relates to the church’s seasons and the Christian message.
